We're looking for a few good modellers, an animator, and one more level designer. Think you have what it takes?

You may have noticed the lack of, well, anything lately. Let us assure you that this is perfectly intentional--in the industry (what industry?) we call this "starving the beast." The beast being you, dear gamer. But if you bear with us for just a few more weeks, you will find that things are, actually, happening. If you're hating this cryptic thing as much as the rest of us, let me just put it plainly. The son-of-a-bitch capuchin monkey we trained in early 2004 to update this site orchestrated a jail (office?) break of epic proportions, and took the ftp login information with him. Our agents tracked him to a Brazilian banana plantation (they are a South American beast) and apprehended him, though not without a struggle. But we won't bore you with the details of this tedious story, to be reserved for next time. Needless to say, since you are seeing this update, the login codes were recovered and we can now go back to semi-regular updates. Fucking monkeys. Good riddance.

You asked, we listened. Sort of. Everything you ever wanted to know about the Elysium network, and probably a lot you didn't, can be found in the new section here. More questions? Ask away on the boards. In related news, progress on the game is tangible - several new weapons have been modelled and we've got the beginnings of the inventory system working. And thus begins this coming week's series of rolling updates, so stay tuned and stay healthy.

Half-Life 2 is just two days away, which means most of the free world will be disappearing into various dark rooms and corners for the next couple of weeks. So will we. But if you start getting the shakes and decide you need your next Elysium fix before then, check out some of the music being prepared for our first release. Class is the word, I believe.

HK6940mm

The media update this week features the top of E2028's hand-held weapons food chain - the HK69A1 40mm grenade launcher. Click on the image for a larger version, and then feast some more in the art section.

We've redesigned the site. So you'd better like it. The concept art section will be coming up soon with a few choice renderings and reference pictures. Feel free to drop by the message boards and make trouble, too.

We're back from Hong Kong with nearly a gigabyte of location and texture reference photos, which we're in the process of categorizing and digitizing for in-game use where applicable. The result? Expect some of the most realistic level design you've ever seen.

Congratulations! You've found our web site. Please enjoy the current utter and complete lack of any content whatsoever. This will obviously change some day, but today is not that day. Tough. Until then, go dance a jig or whatever you people do. Don't like the color blue? Think the site is too thin? We don't particularly care. Go away. But come back soon; massive updates are in store.
